Earth Hour 2016 at Cape Cadogan

Once again Cape Cadogan participated in Earth Hour 2016 by switching off all the lights at the hotel. Our “Lady Cadogan” is normally lit up in ambient welcome for guests after sunset, but on Saturday 19 March we dimmed her down and showed her off by candlelight. Aperitifs were served next to a blazing fire for our guests to enjoy before they set out for the evening.

We’re very proud to be part of Cape Town’s  places who participated this year. The famous V&A Waterfront was the hub of Cape Town’s Earth Hour activities, and was in near darkness for the entire 60 minutes – no small feat!

We hope that by our participation in Earth Hour, our guests are encouraged to reduce their carbon footprint while they travel and when they return home.
