The Cape Cadogan family welcomes yours! Our approach to your Cape Town stay is flexibility to keep everyone happy and that being said, the hotel is the ideal base in the heart of the city, where there is something exciting for each and all. Swimming with the African penguins of Boulders Beach, lunching in the winelands, hiking up Table Mountain… Holidaying together can make for some of your fondest memories, and during this time our commitment is to creating experiences that connect you with each other and enrich your lives.

Check In

Any of the Classic Rooms or Luxury Rooms, as well as the Superior Luxury Suite, are ideal for your family members. Everyone gets their own room, offering a little more privacy, including for teens who’ll feel all grown up in these very grown-up spaces. Everything has been considered so you can completely unwind – in your robe and slippers with a speciality MORE coffee, in a bubble bath with something chilled from the minibar, on your terrace with a room service treat, in your bed specially turned down…

Our morning continental buffet and à la carte feasts bring everyone around the table (an ideal time to plan your day and the staff are always keen to serve suggestions, too). Breakfasts are wholesome starts, with indulgent and healthy options – but all are prepared with only the freshest ingredients, and minimise preservatives and refined sugar. On your itinerary for the rest of the day should definitely be lunch and dinner at a couple of Cape Town eateries – from street food to fine dining, the city’s food scene is a dream.

Cape Town offers the world in one city, with plenty of options for family outings and tours, as well as chances for you to look into the sights and experiences that most appeal to you. Our local Private Travel Concierge, Nadine, is always on hand to offer suggestions, make the arrangements, and organise transfers for your crew. With our complimentary shuttle service to spots nearby the hotel, it’s also easy to nip out for an hour or two by yourself, returning to fetch everyone and show them what you’ve found.

In summer, the pool terrace is the centre of Cape Cadogan life and in the winter, it’s the lounge with its cosy fireplace – the spot to be for our afternoon teas and evening canapés. Board games are available to loan from reception and books can be swapped out from the library. If you’re keen on some time for yourself, book a spa therapy (or two, or three…) in the peace and quiet of your room. There’s every treatment from massages and facials, to manicures and pedicures to indulge in. If it’s a lovely day out, we also suggest mornings on the beach, afternoons in the park, and evening lawn concerts.
