Shopping
V & A Waterfront: Situated between Robben Island and Table Mountain in the heart of Cape Town’s working harbour, the V&A Waterfront has become South Africa’s most visited destination. Set against a backdrop of magnificent sea and mountain views, exciting shopping (over 450 retail outlets selling everything from fashion, homeware and curios, to jewellery, leather goods and audiovisual equipment) and entertainment venues are intermingled with imaginative office locations, world-class hotels and luxury apartments in the residential marina.
Visit the aquarium or simply take in the views of Table Mountain on the big wheel.
A kilometre from Cape Town’s city centre, Woodstock used to be home to more textile factories than fashion outlets. But in recent years this industrial area with its mountain views has changed dramatically. The transformation of the Old Biscuit Mill into a hub of cafes and creativity led the way for further regeneration in the area. More recently the opening of the Woodstock Exchange, a collection of workshops-cum-boutiques, cafes and collectives, has bought even more fashion and design to the area. It is now one of the most popular spots to find a range of boutique clothing, artworks and creatively inspired culinary treats
The Cape Quarter is the one of the most unique retail experience in Cape Town. Wander between 3 blocks of Chic and fall in love with the boutique shopping experience in the historic De Waterkant district.
